FRICTION PRESCRIPTION
Built to End Friction Before It Ends Your Race

THE REAL PROBLEM
Friction doesn’t care about your pace.
It doesn’t care if you’re chasing a podium
or chasing a healthier version of yourself.
It starts small.
A warm spot.
A little rub.
You ignore it.
That’s shear force.
Skin moving against skin.
Salt grinding between layers.
Hydration vest straps shifting.
Fabric sawing back and forth.
Sweat softens skin.
Salt turns abrasive.
Humidity accelerates damage.
When the outer layers of your skin shift repeatedly, the layers beneath begin to separate. Fluid fills the gap.
That’s a blister.
Before that?
Hotspots.
Burning.
Raw skin.
Blood in your socks.
Shower regret.
This isn’t weakness.
It’s physics.
And physics can be managed.
THE FORMULA
Clean. Dry. Built for Glide.
FRX is designed for glide — not as an antiperspirant.
It does not block sweat.
It reduces shear. It creates a breathable barrier that allows skin to move without tearing itself apart.
We formulated it using cosmetic-grade performance ingredients, including:
- A refined coconut oil derivative
- Polynesian arrowroot powder for a drier, less greasy feel
- Allantoin to soothe irritated skin
- Silicone-based polymers and crosspolymers that create smooth, durable glide
- A water-resistant barrier system used in high-end waterproof cosmetics
- That last part matters.
This isn’t kitchen-counter balm.
The silicone crosspolymer network helps the product:
- Stay put
- Resist sweat
- Resist water
- Maintain slip under pressure
- Feel smooth, not oily
It’s engineered to move with skin — not melt into your shorts.
Most athletes say:
“I don’t even notice it’s there.”
Especially with the stick.
It applies smooth.
It feels light.
It feels dry.
What gets noticed is the absence of chafing, And that's the point.
Does it clog pores?
It’s designed for glide, not suffocation.
It does not block sweat glands.
That said, everyone’s skin is different. If you’re highly sensitive, test a small area first.
Does it stain fabric?
No — not when used properly.
We built FRX because we were tired of products destroying our shorts and base layers.
It’s formulated to be clean and non-staining.
Theoretically, excessive application or applying directly to clothing could leave residue (it does contain a refined coconut derivative), but when applied to skin in appropriate amounts, it does not stain fabric.
We’ve ruined enough gear in our lives.
Does it smell?
FRX comes in four scents:
- Lavender Mint
- Pina Colada
- Margarita
- Unscented
Lightly scented and scent free if you want to go ghost mode.
No overpowering stank.
We’ve used products that don’t smell so good after hours of sweat.
We fixed that.
No nuttiness or greasy smells here.
Heat & Cold Stability
Don’t leave it in a hot car.
If it softens, stand it upright in a cool place (even a refrigerator) and it will reset.
In cold races, it remains usable — no brick-in-your-hand situation at mile 3.
If it's super cold, we recommend keeping a Go Pouch close to your body.
THE PROOF
Is this just for elites?
No.
Front of the pack.
Middle.
Back of the back.
Some of our favorite athletes are on weight-loss journeys.
Some are chasing state records.
Some are chasing their first 5K.
Same skin. Same friction.
We get you.
We’ve been there.
Is this better than petroleum jelly?
Yes.
Petroleum jelly:
- Feels greasy
- Transfers to clothing
- Traps grit
- Breaks down under heat
- Can feel suffocating
FRX:
- Breathable
- Dry-feeling
- Cleaner
- Designed for endurance
What gets noticed isn’t residue.
It’s the lack of chafing.
How many uses?
Stick: 10–15 runs
Pouch: 1–2 long runs (may last up to 100 miles depending on use)
Tin: 50+ runs
These are estimates. It depends on how much you apply and how many areas you cover.
We’ve had athletes complete 100-mile races on a single application — including water crossings.
For 200-mile races?
Pack it. Drop bags exist for a reason.
Apply early.
Apply smart.
THE PRACTICAL STUFF
How do I apply it?
Going long?
Apply a little more.
Feet and toes?
Use the tin or pouch to get between toes and along heel edges.
Sports bra lines?
Most athletes prefer the stick.
Perfect for:
- Heels
- Toes
- Ball of foot
- Inner thighs
- Underarms
- Groin
- Under pack straps
Anywhere skin rubs.
Can I use it on damaged skin?
For external use only.
It is soothing and helps reduce friction.
Many athletes have applied it late — after forgetting early application — with promising results.
But prevention beats repair.
TSA Friendly?
Yes.
All formats (9 ml pouch, 14 ml stick, 2 oz tin, pouch) are solid balms — not liquids.
They are generally permitted in carry-on bags under TSA guidelines for solid toiletries. Always verify current travel regulations before flying.
